These Terms of Service govern your use of the DOMPTIMA platform. By using our services, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully. If you have questions, contact us at legal@domptima.com.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using the DOMPTIMA platform ("Platform"), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
These Terms apply to all users of the Platform, including homeowners, technicians, and visitors. DOMPTIMA reserves the right to update these Terms at any time with 14 days' notice.
2. Description of Services
DOMPTIMA provides a marketplace platform that connects homeowners with verified technicians for home infrastructure services. Our services include borehole drilling and water systems, solar installation and energy systems, fencing and gate installation, electrical works, plumbing, painting, and other home improvement services.
DOMPTIMA acts as an intermediary. We do not directly perform the physical services — we verify, vet, and match technicians, manage quotations, and guarantee workmanship quality through our standards and guarantee program.
3. User Accounts
To access most features, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when registering.
DOMPTIMA reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, provide false information, or engage in fraudulent or harmful behavior.
4. Payments and Fees
Homeowners pay for services as agreed in the accepted quotation. A deposit (typically 30–40% of the total) is required to confirm a project booking. The balance is due only after the work is completed to the homeowner's satisfaction and approved.
DOMPTIMA charges a platform service fee included in the quoted price. All prices are displayed in Nigerian Naira (NGN). Installment payment plans are available for eligible projects.
Refunds are processed in accordance with our Refund Policy. If a project is cancelled before commencement, the deposit minus a 5% administrative fee is refunded within 5–7 business days.
5. Quality Guarantee
DOMPTIMA provides a 2-year workmanship guarantee on all completed projects. If defects arising from poor workmanship are identified within this period, we will dispatch a technician to correct the issue at no additional charge.
The guarantee does not cover: damage caused by misuse or events outside the technician's control; normal wear and tear; client-requested modifications after project completion; or defects in client-supplied materials.
6. Technician Conduct
All technicians on the DOMPTIMA platform must maintain valid credentials and certifications, adhere to our quality standards and code of conduct, provide accurate information in their profiles, and comply with all applicable Nigerian laws and regulations.
DOMPTIMA may remove technicians from the platform for violations of these standards, consistently low ratings, fraudulent behavior, or failure to honor commitments.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, DOMPTIMA's liability for any claim arising from use of the Platform shall not exceed the total amount paid by the user in the 12 months preceding the claim.
DOMPTIMA is not liable for: delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control; third-party conduct or the acts of technicians outside the scope of platform-mediated projects; or indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
8. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute between a homeowner and a technician, DOMPTIMA's support team will attempt mediation. If mediation fails, disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration under Nigerian Arbitration and Conciliation Act.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any legal proceedings shall be brought in the appropriate courts of Abuja, Federal Capital Territory.
9. Intellectual Property
The DOMPTIMA brand, logo, platform design, and all associated content are the intellectual property of DOMPTIMA Services Limited. Users may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written consent.
By submitting content (reviews, photos, project descriptions) to the Platform, you grant DOMPTIMA a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with our services.
